The Alpha course is an opportunity to study the meaning of life. IS THERE MORE TO LIFE THAN THIS? WHY AND HOW DO I PRAY? DOES GOD HEAL TODAY? The Alpha course looks at these and other questions, providing a practical introduction to the Christian faith. Over 2 million people in the UK and 13 million worldwide, from every walk of life, have already been on an Alpha course.
Alpha Course at NCBC We are not currently running a course but please email us at alpha@ncbc.org.uk for details of future courses and we will keep you informed. |

What can I expect to happen at a typical course session? · The course lasts for ten weeks, held on one day each week. · A key feature of Alpha is its relaxed, non-threatening approach to exploring Christianity. · The session starts with a meal* and the chance to get to know others on the course. · A talk is then given to the whole group on a particular session. · There is an opportunity, in smaller groups, to discuss and question what was presented. *evening courses only
What else should I know? · The course is preceded by a launch evening with a full meal and an introductory session. · The course features a full Saturday together to allow a more in-depth exploration. · A celebration meal will be held at the end of the course to allow reflection and to give an opportunity for those completing the course to invite friends and pass on their experiences to the next course! · You are welcome to attend the course along with the person who invited you. · The course is free, except for a contribution towards food. |
